Here are our super scary Halloween Bat decorations.
Layla had lots of fun painting the toilet paper rolls black and gluing wings on that we cut out from black construction paper. Then we punched holes in the back of the roll and slid a pipe cleaner through to make the bats "fly"!

They are terrifying! And we had lots of fun making them.

How do you have a frugal fun Girls Day Out when Daddy's away for the weekend?

1. Take a local train for a ride about 3 or 4 stops.

2. Find a local farmer's market.

3. Find a really giant cookie.

4. Play in trees and on bike racks.

5. Take pictures on your digital camera.

6. Blog about it so you don't spend any money printing photos.

7. Tell your sister all about your frugal Girls Day Out via an email.
